Hand painted upholstery fabric

A private commission for a chair re-upholstered with hand-painted linen - bright flowers and creatures were requested. The double piping was painted to give a contrast, and a dynamic emphasis at the junction of the fabric and the wooden frame.

Hand painted curtains

A pair of hand-painted cotton curtains, designed to complement a lower ground floor room with a view looking up to the garden and the sky.

Hand painted curtains

A private commission to paint a pair of curtains for an English country kitchen window. These four 'Tree of Life' scenes were painted directly onto linen, and, full of variety and colour, give the feeling of quite a sophisticated rural life!

Hand painted blinds

A private commission to paint three calico blinds for a large London Victorian bay window which gives straight out onto the garden; the request was to bring the feeling of the outside in and vice versa – birds, leaves and butterflies.

National Theatre

Following the tremendous success of the Collier Campbell exhibition in 2011, the theatre shop commissioned Sarah to make them a special edition of The Sonnet Scarf. Printed on silk crepe-de-chine in Italy, Sonnet 116 has become a classic – wearable words!

Mural

A private commission to brighten a tiny basement town courtyard, giving a view of colour from the kitchen windows.

My Mexico

As part of the exhibition 'Made in Mexico' at the Fashion and Textile Museum, 2014, Sarah was one of the artists commissioned by the curator to make a piece in response to the Rebozo, the famous traditional woven Mexican textile.

The Art Room

The Art Room is a charity working within schools to engage troubled children through art; Sarah has participated in many of their annual fund-raising auctions, helping to raise thousands of pounds for their very successful work.
